New York Vinnie is wondering if Memphis Grizzlies General Manager Chris Wallace had that quote involved this season as he started to build his roster for this season. Because there certainly a whole bunch of “wretched refuse” on his team right now. The “Memphis Commercial Appeal” has reported that the Grizzlies have signed former Indiana Pacers guard and a member of the “NBA Top Ten Pud List” Jamaal Tinsley to a contract. The deal was announced before they defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves Saturday 97-87.
Grizzlies G.M. Wallace told reporters “This signing had nothing to do with the Iverson situation. We had an open roster spot and felt Jamaal was the best player we could sign. He is an experienced, proven playmaker who can help us once in game shape. His current weight is close to 20 pounds less than when he last played in Indiana. Jamaal was the best available player out on the board. Secondly, he’s a veteran. We’re a young team. He’s a proven commodity as a playmaker. He wants to be back.”
Yo Chris; Tinsley is also one of the biggest Frickin head cases in the NBA. Why else do you think the Indiana Pacers paid him his salary last season as long as he stayed away from the team! The Pacers bought out the last year of his deal in July and he became a Free Agent. And now he is all yours Chris; Good Frickin Luck!
This PUD who was involved in a drive by shooting as well as a brawl in club is the kind of Frickin guy you want around O.J. Mayo, Mike Conley and Rudy Gay? You think this Frickin Scumbago will be a positive role model for your young talented players? You look like you may be rid of one Frickin PUD as Iverson may never return from his leave of absence. So Chris did you feel obligated to bring in another to take his place?
Wallace should let his young talent play and leave the “wretched refuse” by the side of the Frickin road. If you can bring in a quality veteran do it. But if all you can sign are Zach Randolph, Allen Iverson and now Jamaal Tinsley you should just let the kids figure it out on their own.
