NEW YORK VINNIE SALUTES: The New Orleans Saints!

New York Vinnie knows where my Frickin bread is buttered; Le Basketbawl is a Internet Site that is devoted to the NBA “The Greatest Game On Earth!” However New York Vinnie could not allow this moment to pass without giving it some mention. It was a moment that for many years many folks would never ever happen; but we seem to be breaking through a lot of barriers over the past few years we never thought we would see!
And when it comes right down to it is this not the Frickin personification of the “Great American Dream“? That if you want something Frickin bad enough and you Frickin work had enough you can accomplish anything! So with that in mind we are starting a new feature here at “The House That New York Vinnie Built.” The first winner of the “NEW YORK VINNIE SALUTE” is the winner of Super Bowl Number 44 The New Orleans Saints!
The New Orleans Saints and New York Vinnie both came onto this planet in 1967; however New York Vinnie had a far less rocky childhood than the NFL team had. For years they were the Frickin joke not only of the NFL but of all of Professional Sports. Who can ever forget the pictures of those poor Frickin fans wearing bags over their heads and calling their team the ‘Aints! But through it all their fans stuck by them. And when tough times came to the City Of New Orleans the Saints stuck by them.
After “Katrina” struck a few years ago the “Superdome” the home of the Saints was in ruins. It was the temporary home to the victims of the storm and the structure itself was badly damaged. The team had to play the 2005 season based out of the “Alamodome” in San Antonio, Texas and LSU Stadium in Baton Rouge.
With all the loss of life and material goods the City of New Orleans could not suffer another major loss. There were rumors that the Saints would leave the city and move to another location. That move would have devastated the City for most likely decades. However the “Superdome” was repaired and the Saints were back the following season and went all the way to the NFC Championship game before their season ended. They were looked upon to be a power the following year but they never lived up to their potential and fell by the wayside.
The Saints and the Indianapolis Colts dominated their conferences all season long and this was the game that America wanted to see. Chances are that if you were like New York Vinnie and had no allegiance to either club you were rooting for New Orleans to finally get the Frickin monkey off their back. Sunday they did it.
We live in an age of Frickin turbulence and discord; when the little guy always seems to get kicked in the Frickin teeth. Sunday night the New Orleans Saints represented the little guy and this time they won!

New York Vinnie will never start a fight, but he's not afraid to finish one.. Mess with New York Vinnie and he'll rip your nuts off and throw them down the sewer!

I salute them as well Vinnie. I felt they were the best team in the NFL this year. Mainly for my knowledge of the coach. Sean Payton did a good job when he was with my team the Cowboys, I hated to see him go, but I always hoped he do well. Couldn’t happen to a better guy.
