New York Vinnie can truthfully write that I am not disappointed with the performance so far of “MY BOYS” the New York Knicks. You see in order to be disappointed you have to have something fall below your expectations; the Knicks are playing just like New York Vinnie told you they would like Crappola. “MY BOYS” are a bunch of selfish overpaid PUDS with a few exceptions one of whom will most likely be going to another team next season. “MY BOYS” can put the ball in hole but they could not play defense against a bunch of senior citizens.

Actually that is not true; they could play defense they just choose not to. As New York Vinnie has written before it takes talent to score all it takes is effort and desire to play strong defense. Unfortunately those qualities are in low supply in the team that calls Madison Square Garden their home.

So far Danilo Gallinari has been a pleasant surprise as the second year player has earned his way into the starting lineup. “MY BOYS” also have a very talented big man in David Lee but he will most likely be playing for another team next season when he becomes an unrestricted Free Agent next summer. 

Other than that you have a bunch of selfish aging veterans who can score but could care less about playing defense. Al Harrington is too busy criticizing the referees. Larry Hughes said after he was traded from the Cleveland Cavaliers that playing in the NBA Finals was no big thing because he could not play the game the way he wanted to.

Charlotte Bobcats head coach Larry Brown says he still believes in Big Fat Eddy Curry; want to trade Tyson Chandler for him Larry? New York Vinnie does not think so. Darko Milicic who was going to prosper in the Knicks offensive system is so far averaging 2 points per game.

But we who are Knicks fans have nothing to fear because LeBron James will sign with our team next summer as a Free Agent. Did you watch the Cavaliers game against the Charlotte Bobcats on Saturday night? New York Vinnie did and the same Bobcats team that beat “MY BOYS” 102-100 looked like they did not belong in the building against Cleveland. And LeBron had an off night; it was Mo Williams who won that game for Cleveland which is a “Real Team.” If James were to sign with “MY BOYS” and were to have an off night the Knicks would get killed. We are not getting LeBron James in New York or New Jersey for that matter.

We will most likely end up with Amare Stoudemire who is close with Knicks head coach Mike D’Antoni from their days with the Suns. Possibly Chris Bosh who is with a sub-par team with the Toronto Raptors. Unfortunately with the luck of the Knicks fans that player will most likely soon get injured and never play again!

Yet still New York Vinnie watches every Frickin game screaming at the Frickin TV. New York Vinnie could no sooner give up on the Knicks than I could on a member of my family; I am a Frickin hopeless addict. But that does not mean that I am going to follow the Frickin company line like some mindless Frickin sheep. “MY BOYS” will always have my loyalty but it is not blind.
