So first things first…Let’s give Paul Pierce his props. He scored 20,000 points in his career yesterday while playing against the Milwaukee Bucks. He joins a list of only 3 players for the storied franchise- one of those players being the great Larry Bird (a Lakers killer), the other has a black and white pic-nuf’ said. Pierce is one of only 36 players to reach that mark in the NBA. People don’t always realize Pierce is suck (oops such) a prolific scorer but lets not forget he played for SOME bad teams early in his career (this was before the advent of the D-League). Whether you love Pierce or not you have to admit he is an iron man. You don’t get to 20k in points unless you have longevity and Pierce and been blessed with this.
It amazes me that the Celtics in 24 hours can make the front page of the media. One page is the disgusting ignorant actions of “thug” Kevin Garnett. The other page returns the postive spotlight to the Celts – 20k in points for Pierce. Garnett should be giving Pierce a happy ending for this turn of events. Kevin- for the record I will never forgive you for what you did….
In case you took my advice and watched the “World Champs” last night you saw a treat. Kobe Bryant went off for 30 points, 12 assists, and 10 boards. And you wonder why I call myself KoBeOfThEnBa? that’s why! Even my haters had to give Kobe a shoutout tonight. I love watching opponent websites having to embrace Kobe and even quote him! The Lakers are 5-0! Sorry Knicks fans you got a long way to go!
While I’m praising the greats Chris Paul went off for 25 points, 7 boards, 8 assists, 4 steals, and a block! The Hornets remain undefeated at 4-0 beating the Rockets (keeping them winless). Do the Hornets have enough players to keep CP3 happy? Time will tell but I appreciate seeing competition because this will help to keep my boy Kobe motivated.
