They say that timing is everything in life; and the timing on this could not have been worse. The “Boston Globe” is reporting that Boston Celtics forward Glen “Big Baby” Davis may require surgery to repair his broken right thumb and could be out for an extended period of time.

 Boston starts the NBA regular season Tuesday night as they take on the Cleveland Cavaliers at the Q Arena in Cleveland. According to reports Davis who was a key member of the Celtics offense during the Playoffs was hurt in what is being labeled as an “altercation” with a friend and former teammate from Louisiana. Davis reportedly was defending himself when the injury occurred.

Reportedly the Celtics management are pretty Frickin ticked off about this and New York Vinnie does not blame them one bit. Davis signed a contract extension with the team over the summer and was a player they had been counting on. And just before the regular season starts he pulls a Frickin Lame-Brained stunt like this.

Boston President of Basketball Operations Danny Ainge told media members he “would not confirm or deny” how Davis was injured. He told the press “I am not making a public statement until we have all of the facts relative to the injury. We sent him for a scan and further tests. It looks like he’s going to be out for a while.”
