New York Vinnie has never been a big investor in the stock market and given our present economic situation I am pleased to say that is the case! However New York Vinnie has “dabbled” over the years and know a little bit about the market. The best kind of investments are whey call low risk high reward and that was the kind that the Cleveland Cavaliers made on Thursday!

The “Associated Press” reported that Cleveland announced the signing of Free Agent big man Leon Powe the former Boston Celtics bench player signed a two year deal at the NBA minimum for a player with three years under his belt. Only the first year of the deal is guaranteed the other year is on a club option! That is a New York Vinnie kind of investment!

Powe talked with reporters on a conference call on Thursday and told them he was very excited to be part of the Cavaliers. He said “Shaq is one of the greatest players of all time and ‘Bron is going to be right there in that category. Those are two great personalities. That’s the fun thing about playing with guys like them. They’re easy to get along with and it’s easy to play with them.”
