Indy Waives Bye-Bye To Tinsley Ready To Move On!

Why the Indiana Pacers did not make this Frickin move last Summer is a mystery to New York Vinnie but then again my phone has not been ringing off the hook for job offers as a NBA General Manager! The Pacers finally said No Mas to Jamaal Tinsley according to a statement the team released on Wednesday. The veteran guard and perpetual Pud for the Pacers was waived by the club and if he does clear waivers he will become a free agent. Why did it take so long for the Pacers to come to their Frickin senses and smell the Frickin coffee? As New York Vinnie’s blessed GrandPops used to say “Pride will make a man do some crazy things!”
The Pacers tried to deal Tinsley last Summer but could not reach a deal with another team. Indiana got guard T.J. Ford in the deal that sent Jermaine O’Neal to Toronto. Team President Larry Bird confirmed to reporters that the Pacers were trying to get a deal done. Bird said “We’re trying to do some things to see what’s out there for Jamaal and hopefully we can get something done. Jamaal’s been great for us. Unfortunately, he’s been injured from time to time. He’s still a great basketball player, but Jimmy’s right. We’re probably going in a different direction.”
Well they did go in a different direction but they could not get any takers for Tinsley. So the Pud got a year paid vacation not a bad life in New York Vinnie’s eyes. Larry Legend was not willing to waive the problem child so he stayed on the roster and got paid for staying away from the team. But it finally got too much for the Pacers as they were heading to arbitration with the veteran. After the agreement was revealed Bird said “This ends a very difficult period for all parties involved. We are pleased to have this resolved.”

New York Vinnie will never start a fight, but he's not afraid to finish one.. Mess with New York Vinnie and he'll rip your nuts off and throw them down the sewer!
