Together, these central figures will help Artest to keep a lid on his volatility. Don't get me wrong, Artest will lead the team in technical fouls, skuffles, and whining; but I'm predicting that he will only face one or two ejections this year due to technicals, and none in the playoffs. I'm also predicting that Artest will bring defensive toughness to the Lakers that they haven't had to this point. While Ariza was quick and crafty, Artest is rough and tumble. It will be great to watch Artest shut down Paul Pierce in the finals while Kobe smothers Ray Allen.
