Le Basketbawl

The Miami Heat were left holding their hat in their hand after the eleventh hour reunion between the Los Angeles Lakers and Lamar Odom last week. Miami was the other team that was courting the services of the veteran forward and had made an all out push to bring the big man in. Heat All-Star guard Dwyane Wade had even gone out to meet with Odom to try to bring him on board. However when the Lakers offered the veteran the fourth year he was asking for the deal was set.

So now that has Miami in a situation where they are all hot and bothered. They were ready to dance and their Frickin partner bailed on them in the last Frickin minute. Talk about being all dressed up and no where to go! However despite the blow to the gut by Odom signing again with the NBA Champs Miami is not ready to push the Frickin panic button. Well at least not yet.

The “South Florida Sun-Sentinel” reported that the team canceled a meeting with former Indiana Pacers guard Jamaal Tinsley. The former bad boy of the Pacers was scheduled to meet with Team President of Basketball Operations Pat Riley but this time it was the Heat that bailed out. Reports state that Riley canceled because the team had not come up with an offer for the player. New York Vinnie is wondering if they ever will.

There are certain players that fit the mold of a Pat Riley player and Jamaal Tinsley has none of those Frickin qualities. In fact Tinsley could be like the Frickin Bizzarro version of a Pat Riley player! You remember in Superman they used to have those Frickin Bizarrarro characters that were the opposite of the real version. That could be Jamaal Tinsley. He has been a problem child and Riley does not Frickin tolerate that for very long.

No word on whether the meeting has been rescheduled. Now New York Vinnie has learned long ago not to Frickin ever count anything out. However I would be very surprised if Tinsley is in a Heat uniform on Opening day.
