Granger’s Injury Will Hurt Pacers Big Time!

There are some teams that have kicked off the 2009-2010 NBA seaon in Frickin spectacular fashion. Some of these are teams that you would expect and others have been pleasant surprises. However New York Vinnie has to tell you that there are quite a lot of teams that have opened the season looking like Frickin Crapolla. Once again some of these teams were expected to be Frickin awful but there are some teams in this group that are playing far below what the Frickin expectations were heading into the season.
One of those teams that were expected to play a lot better than they have so far this season is the Indiana Pacers. That was a team that New York Vinnie expected to at least Frickin challenge for a playoff spot but at their present pace the only they will be in Frickin competition for is the number one pick in the 2010 NBA Draft. The Pacers are in last place in the Frickin left armpit of the NBA the Central Division (the right armpit of course would be the Atlantic Division.)
Indiana has lost five straight games and nine out of their last ten. They as of Tuesday morning had a record of 6-12 and according to the “Associated Press” things are going to get worse for the team before they get any better. Indiana All-Star forward Danny Granger is expected to miss about the next four weeks with an injury to his right foot. Granger has torn the plantar fascia in his right foot which is what connects your toes to your heels. The team is saying he will not need surgery and that the situation will be resolved through rest and inactivity.
Now the Pacers lose their “Go-To-Guy” as the team is struggling to begin with. Pacers head coach Jim O’Brien spoke with reporters about losing a player that has averaged 24.4 points and 6..1 rebounds per game this season. The Indiana bench boss said “We’re losing an All-Star player. It’s a big loss. How we deal with it remains to be seen. Any rash of injuries challenges you. I try to stay away from the word frustrated. We have games to play. We have guys who are professional players who have talent and are expected to step in and help us win. We’ve been struggling, but there’s parts of every game where we play at the level we need.”
Yo coach; you can avoid the Frickin word “Frustrated” as much as you want but if you are not feeling that way My Man then you are a Frickin robot! Of course you are Frickin “Frustrated” anybody would in your situation. Your team right now is in the Frickin sewer and you are losing your best guy. How are you supposed to feel Frickin Giddy?
Any time you are dealing with an injury that is waiting ion the body to heal itself is a Frickin crap-shoot. Some guys heal quicker than others and some have higher tolerances of pain than other folks do. That is just a Frickin fact of life; so the four weeks is at best a Frickin educated guess. O’Brien did say one thing that made sense and that is it will show what the Pacers are truly made of by the way they play without their best player. Only time will give us the answer to that question.

New York Vinnie will never start a fight, but he's not afraid to finish one.. Mess with New York Vinnie and he'll rip your nuts off and throw them down the sewer!
