The Duke Blue Devils just became a little more spoiled! The team had just returned home from a road trip to Florida State on January 16th when they were introduced to their brand new 56,000 square foot practice facility. The Duke players met at Cameron Indoor stadium for a team meeting when Coach Mike Krzyzewski took them for a little walk. The walk, through an underground tunnel, brought the team right into the middle of the facility and had them all “wide-eyed.”
This facility is as top of the line as you can get from any college in the nation and cost a mere $15.2 million. It includes a 25 seat theater, 2 full length basketball courts modeled after Cameron Indoor, a weight room, and a banquet room.
Current and former players will have access to the new building 24 hours a day and will even have a special entrance to keep them away from crazy Dukie fans! The planners toured 27 different campuses to figure out exactly what was needed and created quite the facility.
For those Duke fans, this is a step towards continued greatness. Everyone knows that facilities tend to be the main attraction for recruits and not that Duke is lacking in the recruiting department by any means, but this can only help the future of this program.
And for those haters, good luck!
Notice the Duke logos on all the weights? Ridiculous…
