Le Basketbawl

If You have been a loyal reader of Le Basketbawl  since it started to turn into the “House That New York Vinnie Built” then you are well aware that Vinnie had a major problem a few weeks ago with New York Knicks Team President Donnie Walsh! New York Vinnie had truly reached his breaking point with Walsh! I was even considering getting in touch with some of my “Former Associates” to see if they could talk some sense into this Pud! However Walsh has been showing signs that he may finally have a clue as to how to rebuild My Boys!

A couple of weeks ago there was talk that Walsh was trying to bring in talented veteran point guard Andre Miller on the club. Miller is one of the most underrated point guards currently in the NBA but he would have been wasted with the Knicks as they will not make it out of the regular season. Then word was that New York big man David Lee appeared to be heading out the door after he and the team had reached an impasse on a new contract.

However this week we are getting a lot more positive news out of Madison Square Garden. It now appears that the team and Lee could come to terms with Lee on a one year deal. Now while New York Vinnie would love to see Lee locked up long term this would at least keep him the fold. Andre Miller is not longer in the mix as the former Sixers point signed a deal with the Portland Trail Blazers which is a good fit on both sides!

Another veteran that the Knicks have some interest in according to “ESPN.com” is veteran guard and class act Jerry Stackhouse. Now this is the kind of the veteran that New York Vinnie would love to have on the club. He will not cost a lot of money, the Knicks can get him for one year and he will be a good leader on a team that does not have a lot of leaders!

Se Donnie this is the way to put the team back together! There are not going to be any quick fixes for the New York Knicks! Isiah Thomas and Team Owner Jimmy “El Douche” Dolan did far to much damage to this team to bounce back over night. But Donnie if you come up with a concrete plan and stick to it there will be light at the ned of the tunnel. It will take patience and perseverance but it can be done.

So Donnie keep up with the direction you have been going in the last week to ten days and you will hear nothing but good things from New York Vinnie. But I promise you start pulling Crappola again Vinnie will be all over you!
