Divorce Memphis Style! Iverson And Grizzlies To End Doomed Relationship

On a day when one controversial basketball marriage took place (Stephen Jackson being traded from the Golden State Warriors to the Charlotte Bobcats) another one that was doomed from the start finally came to a merciful end. The “Associated Press” has reported that the Memphis Grizzlies and veteran guard Allen Iverson have agreed to dissolve their union. Iverson who has made the NBA All-Star team 10 times signed a one year agreement with Memphis just before Training Camp for a reported $3.5 million.
The reports are saying that Iverson will only get a very small percentage of the money called for in the contract and most likely will be put on waivers by Memphis on Tuesday. If Iverson clears waivers as expected he will become an unrestricted Free Agent. Unfortunately for the veteran guard he learned this summer there was not a lot of interest before signing with the Grizzlies. After what went down in Memphis over the last couple of weeks his prospects have most likely decreased.

Guess we’ll findout who he was talking to on the so-called leave of absence. I wonder Vinnie. Who would give this guy a chance to wreck their team? My guess is somewhere on the east coast. Washington maybe?

My Main Man Robbo is back in “The House That New York Vinnie Built!” You have been missed My Man! Rumors have it that “MY BOYS” have an interest in him. With the roster the way it is they are not going any where any way. It will be just like having Starbury back on the team. But AI will put butts in the seats in MSG. I just do not see how it would help Iverson in the long term. Robbo; how about your Mavs? Didn’t New York Vinnie tell you they would be legit this year?
