As Forest Gump’s Mother said “Stupid Is As Stupid Does” and that certainly seems to apply to Boston Celtics big man Glen “Big Baby” Davis. The “Boston Globe” is reporting that one of the Celtics team owners Wyc Grousbeck has stated that the player heading into his third NBA season will “most likely” be suspended after getting into a tussle with a buddy which led to Davis breaking his right thumb. Davis was to undergo surgery to repair the thumb Tuesday and there has been no estimation at this time when he will be ready to go back to playing.

According to reports Davis who was a key member of the Celtics offense during the Playoffs was hurt on Sunday in what is being labeled as an “altercation” with a friend and former teammate from Louisiana. Davis reportedly was defending himself when the injury occurred.

Grouscbeck spoke with a Boston TV station and told them the club is pretty upset with Davis after the incident. The Celtics Team owner said “We’ll deal with it. I’m not going to call him ‘Big Baby’ anymore. He’s Glen. He needs to act like Glen. We’ll decide what to do once I talk to him, once we talk to him today. It’s very likely he’ll be suspended. And he’ll have some time to think about it. It’ll be a message, a teachable moment for the rest of the guys on the team.”

In other words “Big Baby” your boss just said it is time to Frickin grow-up! By acting the fool on Sunday you have put your team in a bind; they are now without a key big man that they were counting on big time. But because you were Frickin horsing around with your bud you are now just another useless body on the bench.

New York Vinnie has written this before; if a parent is using a Pro Athlete as a role model for their children to teach them anything other than how to play that sport than the parent is a Frickin moron. Pro Athletes are not for the most part the brightest Frickin lights on the Christmas tree.  And Davis is just the latest example of how stupid some of these players can be!
