Big Fat Eddy Deserves No Congratulations!

In New York Vinnie’s opinion one of the best writers covering the NBA at the present time is Marc Berman who covers “MY BOYS” the New York Knicks for the “New York Post.” Berman not only is extremely knowledgeable about the game but he comes across as a fan; of the NBA and the Knicks. Berman doesn’t pull any Frickin punches and when something does not sit right with him he lets you know it.
Earlier this week Berman took issue with New York Knicks Team President Donnie Walsh for congratulating “Big Fat Eddy” Curry for being in shape when he rejoined the team. Walsh told reporters “He’s to be congratulated. He did a great job getting into shape. Now he’s got to get in NBA shape. There’s no way to simulate that, other than through practice and actually the games.”
Berman wrote that “Big Fat Eddy” should not be congratulated just for getting into shape; he is after all being paid $10.5 million to do at least that. Berman went onto say that one of the reasons that the team is stuck in the Frickin stone age is that seems to be the prevailing attitude on lots of issues on the club. That players should get praise for just doing what they should be doing. New York Vinnie could not agree with that statement more; in fact that may sum things up perfectly.
Curry is now attempting his second come back with “MY BOYS” since the beginning of Training Camp. Curry tore a calf muscle his first day of practice and was sent hoe with orders to shed off much more than the 40 pounds he had dropped over the summer. Reports are that Curry maxed out this summer at about 360 pounds and was supposed to have weighed 320 at the beginning of camp. Reporters are now saying that Curry is at about 295 pounds.
Curry has not proven or accomplished a Frickin thing yet; we don’t even have a timetable of when he will be ready to play again. There is an old saying in New York Vinnie’s neighborhood; “Fool Me Once Shame on You. Fool Me Twice Shame On Me. Fool Me Three Times Then I Am A Frickin Moron!” New York Vinnie is not a moron and it is going to take a lot to convince me that “Big Fat Eddy” can be of any use at all to “MY BOYS” or any other NBA team. New York Vinnie will be watching. And Marc Berman is right no congratulations are in order until he earns them.

New York Vinnie will never start a fight, but he's not afraid to finish one.. Mess with New York Vinnie and he'll rip your nuts off and throw them down the sewer!
