Amare Back On The Hardwood Could Only Brighten Suns Season!

If the Phoenix Suns want to even Frickin hope to sniff the Playoffs in the upcoming season than their star Amare Stoudemire is going to be able to carry a heavy part of the load. The” Arizona Republic” has reported that the veteran power forward took himself a big step closer to that happening on Tuesday as he played against another player for the first time since last February 18. Stoudemire was lost for the season when he suffered a detached retina and ended the Phoenix hopes of salvaging their season.
The veteran participated in a four on four voluntary drill Tuesday with the team. He said the only problems he experienced were just getting used to the pace on the floor. He said “Sometimes, I felt like it was going faster than I expected, as far as competition. Other than that, I felt great. To finally be back out there with the guys and running sprints with them, I got my family back. It’s almost like you ran away from home for a while. Now, you’re back home and you feel how great it is to be around your family.”
Amare will have to play for the rest of his NBA career with some sort of eye protection after suffering the injury. He told reporters that his custom made eye-wear is already to be produced. Stoudemire said “”They’re going to cover more of the structure of the eye. They’re going to be tighter across the back and have a bigger frame. It’s going to be a mix between goggles and eyeglasses.”
