Bynum…8 weeks from now…

Andrew Bynum will be out at least 8 weeks with a left knee injury. The injury, a “subluxation,” is pretty serious but will not require the young man to undergo surgery. A subluxation is a temporary dislocation of the knee cap; OUCH.
Bynum was in a pretty good mood while leaving Staples Center Sunday night: “I’m not in too much pain, only when I bend it,” Bynum said. “I don’t think it’s serious at all. I can move it left and right. Just to take a step forward is the only thing that really hurts. I never heard a pop.”
If you are a Lakers fan, this is a tremendous blow to what has been an incredible season thus far. Bynum and Bryant have led L.A. to the second best record in the west which was completely unexpected. Running a 6 game win streak, and 16 of 19, they were looking like a solid contender through the first half of the season.
They will now start the infamous Kwame Brown at center with Ronny Turiaf as a back-up; not exactly the same caliber of player they just lost. Eight weeks from now will be mid March and at least 20 games lost. I think it’s Kobe time!
